Currently, my responsibilities with Clayton County Public Schools (CCPS) involves the development and implementation of Career Related Education (CRE) experiences which includes Work-Based Learning (WBL) opportunities for students. This work involves assessment of current students, conducting meetings with stakeholders, working with employers, credentialing of students, managing data and records for WBL students, producing reports for accountability purposes utilizing C-NET, and public relations activities to promote and recognize exemplary results for the WBL program.
I began working for CCPS after completing several years with Fulton and DeKalb County Public Schools. My career in Clayton County includes serving as four years as CTAE Department Chair; several years as a classroom teacher, thirteen (13) years as CTAE/WBL Coordinator as well as serving as the school-level Youth Apprenticeship Program Coordinator.
My goal is to provide guidance for “global” age appropriate Career Related
Experiences that leads to work-based learning experiences, which help students become successful contributing members of society.
I adhere to the vision of the Career Technical and Agricultural Division of the Georgia
Department of Education, which is: “To create a student profile of career readiness”.
