I, Tarquiann Bates, earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration with a Concentration in Marketing and Management from Lander University of Greenwood, South Carolina. I earned a Masters Degree in Education with a focus on Curriculum and Instruction from Central Michigan University. My professional career began upon completing my undergraduate studies, and I worked my way to promotions to become a Branch Manager for Norwest Financial Services / Fidelity Financial Services, and I was also a Finance Manager of Landmark Dodge Chrysler Jeep of Morrow, Georgia. I have eight years of experience in the United States Army. My leadership skills, people skills, communication skills and time management abilities make me an asset to any winning team. I am goal oriented and self motivated. I have taught at Morrow High School for the past 21 years. I believe education is the most powerful vehicle for creating economic stability one and his or her family. I am proud and happy to have the opportunity to make a positive impact with God's children on a daily basis as an educator. My wife and I live in Clayton County, and we both strive to be examples and support for the students of our community.
