My name is Mrs. Deborah Ballard and I am an Atlanta native. Education is my second career. I started my career as a Bellsouth Manager in Atlanta. I started as an Assistant Manager in the Network Organization in the Installation Department. I transferred to the Business Office side of the company and worked there as Assistant Manger in the Call Center. I was later promoted to Staff Manger and worked as a Data Analyst. After a 30 year career in corporate, I retired in 2005 . I started my own Partnership business in Flooring after my retirement, but after a few years sold my share of the business. I completed my Undergraduate Degree from Georgia State University with a Bachelor's Degree in Fine Arts and received my Masters Degree in Secondary Education at the University of Phoenix. I started my second career in Education in 2015 in Clayton County working at Jonesboro High School teaching Economics and U.S. and World Affairs. After two years at Jonesboro High School, I relocated to Sacramento California in 2017 and taught World and U.S. History at Twin Rivers Unified School District. I returned to Georgia in 2020 and have been teaching Personal Finance & Economics here since my return.
