Lisa Martinez Vargas
I am married with 4 sons and my nephew. I thoroughly enjoy watching football, soccer, drawing/sketching, collegiate (folkstyle, freestyle, Greco-Roman) wrestling, traveling, and being with family. I will be teaching you U.S. History and World History for the 2023-2024 school year.
I was born at Georgia Baptist, formerly Atlanta Medical and now closed. I was raised in Rex, Georgia. I went to school in Clayton County. I went to East Clayton Elementary and Adamson Middle School. Finally, I graduated from Jonesboro High School in 2005.
I started my collegiate career at Georgia State University in Atlanta where I decided that I did not want to pursue a business degree. I went on the Clayton State University where I obtained an Associates Degree in Paralegal Studies and then went on to finish with a Bachelor of Arts degree in History and Secondary Education, making me your teacher. I spent my first 6 years at Rex Mill Middle School. I was the Teacher of the Year at Rex Mill Middle 2020-21 and 2021-22. This is my first year at Morrow High School.
