Ms. Cavazos' Site

Ms. Julie Cavazos

I graduated from Ball State University with a B.S. in Journalism/Mass Communication and a minor in Studio Arts and M.A. in Education. I then attended Grand Canyon University where I received my second M.A. in Curriculum and Instruction and finally Lincoln Memorial where I received my ED.S in Principal and Administration. I completed my student teaching placement at Yorktown High School in Muncie, Indiana and began first teaching twenty-two years ago starting in Fort Wayne, Indiana and eventually moving to Georgia. .
I decided to go into teaching because I love working with children. It is the best feeling when you see a child get it or learn something new. I could never get bored of teaching because of these moments. I also learned the value of education while raising four beautiful children of my own. My youngest is a child with disabilities which, eventually brought me back to the classroom to become certified in Exceptional Education.
Through my experiences, I believe that children learn primarily through play and exploration. I really try to incorporate this philosophy when planning lessons. I also try to create lessons that target all learning styles and needs. I love trying new things and I am always looking for new ideas.
On a personal note, I have four lovely children ages 26, 24, 20 and 17. In my spare time, I love watching baseball, visiting museums, cooking, photography, attending live theater/concerts, assisting with baseball academy, and spending time with my friends and family. I have 3 grandchildren who light up my world!
As a teacher, I truly hope that we
will work together to make sure that your child has the resources and material needed to me successful. I am excited about using technology to build our children into our future leaders. I am here to help in any way I can, please don't hesitate to reach out to me anytime.
